The line spectrum of the intensity (top left panel), the total linear polarization degree (top right), and the fractional Stokes parameters Q/I (bottom left), and U/I (bottom right), quantifying the direction and polarization in a non-magnetized model of the chromosphere. The radiation emission is strongest in the flare ribbon (from X=-3 Mm to X=3 Mm on the vertical axis) but the polarization is strongest at the edges of the ribbon.
