A compilation of many observations of network flares, flares, and stellar flares put together by Aschwanden et al. (2008). The black lines are empirical fits and the colored lines show scaling laws - blue-green the classical "RTV" law, the greenish lines scalling laws from Shibata and Yokoyama. The red dotted line is the Jakimiec track, showing the time evolution of simple cooling (no equilibrium).
