Solar Activity
This week's solar activity was made up of fewer large flares but a large number of small, B-class flares. Five active regions remain on the Sun although most of them will rotate off the disk in the next day. STEREO B shows little activity, so the Sun is expected to stay quiet for the next several days. However, the tohban did have a dream that there was an X-class flare, so maybe this was a premonition. :)
How many GOES flares occurred? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 50 4 0 0 And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 22 2 0 0 And how many had EXCELLENT coverage? Flares above B, C, M, X class were 13 2 0 0
Memory Management
The SSR is reaching 5% at the end of each pass, with a maximum of 40%.
Data Gaps
We are experiencing trouble with the PDP at the Berkeley ground station. Ops is working on a replacement. As a result, a backup PDP is being used. This resulted in several large data gaps which will need to be reprocessed. This data is not lost, but has not yet been processed.
Spacecraft Status
A spin up was performed on Monday to a nominal 15 rpm. There were no HV changes. Cold plate 2 is at 98.5 K.
