Solar Activity
Solar activity was high this week. There was a major flare watch called on 23 Oct 2012 for AR 11598. Since then, the region has produced an M9 and X1 flare - both of which were well observed by RHESSI. 11598 is still in the eastern hemisphere so we should have it on disk for at least the next week. It is currently classified as beta-delta and is mainting a strong polarity inversion line, while continuing to grow.
How many GOES flares occurred?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 3 23 2 1
And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 15 2 1
And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 5 1 1
There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 198 / 28 over the time range 17-Oct-12 24-Oct-12
Memory Management
SSR is reaching 40% and emptying at is emptying to 16%. We are still in active vigorous decimation.
Spacecraft Status
The cold plates are at 107.3 and 105.8 K respectively. Cryopower 71 W.
Spin 14.9

Detector issues
G8 is showing a very slow decay in emerging from night +SAA passes (note: this is not happening when emerging from just night or just SAA, only where there is an SAA pass at night). David Smith recommends lowering high voltage on G8. He will send email.
