Solar Activity
Solar activity was low; lots of spots but not many big flares. Given the flare occurrence power law, having 27 C-class events and no M-class or higher suggests a rollover.
How many GOES flares occurred?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 5 27 0 0
And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 3 20 0 0
And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 2 12 0 0
There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 210 / 32 over the time range 29-Nov-11 06-Dec-11
There are possible examples of "limb-intercepted" flares at http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=qlpcr+qli02+qli03+qli04&date=20111202&time=220425 and http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=qlpcr+qli02+qli03+qli04&date=20111202&time=220425. These are particularly interesting for our forthcoming study of properties of the X-ray absorption limb.
Another weak but interesting flare, http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=grth+qlpcr+gbmo&date=20111205&time=190649&bar=1, could very well set a record for impulsivity.
Memory Management
SSR is emptying.
Data Gaps
No data gaps.
Spacecraft Status
Detector noise and spikes do not seem to be so bad this week, but G8 (I think) acted up for a couple of orbits on Dec. 4: http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=monfs&date=20111204&time=072620&bar=1
