Solar Activity
Solar activity was moderate this week, showing an increase in the last day, with two low M-class flares from NOAA 12445 and NOAA 12443. AR 12445 will soon rotate out of the disk, while AR 12443 is crossing the central meridian. There are currently 8 ARs on the disk with the probability of some C and M class flares in the following days. It seems like RHESSI did observed two of the low M-class flares today.
How many GOES flares occurred?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 4 75 1 0
And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 3 52 1 0
And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 2 34 1 0
There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 260 / 80 over the time range 27-Oct-15 03-Nov-15
Memory Management
The SSR fill level reached a maximum of ~20% and a minimum of about ~9% during the week.
Spacecraft Status
The cold plate 1 and 2 are at about ~135.2 K and ~133.7 K respectively.
Data Gaps
No data gaps this week.
Detector issues
The plan for this week was to decrease detectors 3, 6 and 8 HV to decrease the slow front counts observed reported during last week and also to try to correct the behavior observed in D8 livetime.
On October 28 the HV of detectors 3 and 6 were decreased by ~200V, and detector 8 HV was decreased to ~2100V . Following are the commands and times:
2015-301-20:28:06 /ihvdac detector=3, voltage=196 2015-301-20:28:46 /ihvdac detector=6, voltage=73 2015-301-20:29:56 /ihvdac detector=8, voltage=112
No major change in the front and rear resets and slows was observed in detectors 3 and 6, however a decrease by a factor of 2 was observed in rear resets of detector 8. Since then the rear resets count have been increasing.
