Clean and UV Smooth Images Changing Image Centers

Overview

Clean, UV_smooth, and MEM_NJIT images shown with fields of view offset by 0" and +/- 20" in X from the position given in the RHESSI flare catalog.

Flare Catalog Position

  • X = -875"
  • Y = -237"

Note that the sources in the UV_smooth images tend to move in the same direction as the offset from the flare catalog position. Sources in the Clean and MEM_NJIT images match one another although with different peak positions. They appear to stay fixed independent of the offset of the FOV center.
