FLUKA as a tool for modelling gamma-ray production in flarres

Introduction

FLUKA is a public domain code for Monte Carlo modelling of particle transport in matter. It has found application in many domains: medical physics, laboratory nuclear and particle physics, cosmic ray physics, etc. We have been experimenting with FLUKA and find that its capabilities make it a useful tool for modelling radiation from flare ions.
