Solar Activity

Active region 11007 has been (relatively) active, producing two C-class flares that were observed by RHESSI. Unfortunately, it will shortly be going over the west limb.

How many GOES flares occurred?

Memory Management

The SSR is regularly emptying. The decimation is normal/active, front segment events are not being recorded in eclipse, and rear decimation is disabled in the northern magnetic zone.

Data Gaps

The data gaps on November 1 were from poor signal quality, and the data gap on November 4 was from a late acquisition, both at Wallops. The gap on November 4 is replayable.

Spacecraft Operations

Two items of note. First, the temperature of cold plate 2 is still increasing (97.6 K). Second, there was a mysterious step-function increase in the IDPU switched load current that appears to be traced back to the Crab operation in June. Mark is currently trying to figure out what may have changed. This increase in current is presumed to be the reason that the battery is now reaching a depth of discharge of 25%.
