Solar Activity

Activity has picked up considerably, with sunspots as large as 150 millionths, F10.7 soaring to near 90, and four (4) C-class flares.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were     15     4     0     0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were      7     4     0     0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were      6     1     0     0

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 63 / 19 over the time range 13-Jul-10 20-Jul-10

At present there is a rather good active region, NOAA 11089, from which we can expect C and maybe even M flares.

Data

There were no further major glitches, as had been noted by David Smith last week. Also no data gaps.

Operations

Everything looks very normal, with daily memory usage well under control. Cold plate temperature 2 has crept up to near 100 K. A one-orbit gap happened because of irretrievably lost packets.
