Solar Activity
Solar activity was high this week. We had up to 9 active regions on disk, at least two of them were flare producing and one even gave us an X-flare and major flare watch! Lots of M class activity and high C class also. STEREO B shows that activity probably won't slow down too much over the coming week as there are some nice regions approaching the limb.
How many GOES flares occurred?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 1 43 9 1
And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 0 28 6 0
And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?
Flares above B, C, M, X class were 0 16 2 0
There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 307 / 54 over the time range 02-Nov-11 09-Nov-11
Memory Management
SSR wasn't emptying towards the beginning of the week so extra passes were added and the descimation was changed to active/vigourous. The SSR is now emptying and the descimation can probably be returned to normal.

Spacecraft Status
[From Richard] Hugh noticed an oddity in the quicklook count rates on 5-nov-2011 at about 03:13 UT. It is from detector 6 alone. It looks like the detector shuts off and then comes back producing noise before settling down after 4-5 minutes. I don't know if this has happened before: http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=grth+qlpcr+qlpfr+qlprr+monfs+monfl+monff&date=20111105&time=031356
This followed another bout of detector 6 spikey behaviour about 3 hours previous: http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=grth+qlpcr+qlpfr+qlprr+monfs+monfl+monff&date=20111105&time=031356 and again here: http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=grth+qlpcr+qlpfr+qlprr+monfs+monfl+monff&date=20111104&time=232808 and here http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=grth+qlpcr+qlpfr+qlprr+monfs+monfl+monff&date=20111108&time=020726
Are these due to data gaps?

Detector 8 high voltage was lowered 10 (4+6) steps.
Issues with the orbit solutions meant 1.5 second delay which led to the data gaps. Jim will be notified to reprocess the data.
