RHESSI Albedo Imaging Test
Maps were created for a gaussian source and a source modeled as a cosine cubed function. For the gaussian map and cosine cubed map, pixon and clean images were created.
The scripts for creating eventlist files were also received this week. There is a copy of them available at this location. They have not been tested as yet. I am currently testing them.
RHESSI Website Migration
The RHESSI Website migration is nearing the end of the first stage. Final changes are being made to some pages, most of the changes are formatting and appearance based.
There was also discussion with Steve Jung on moving the solar flare theory site to the virtual machine environment for Heliophysics. He's looking into the difficulty of moving from frames to the standard heliophysics style format.
Goals
- Testing the new scripts to create calibrated eventlists from map structures
- Comparing the images made for the gaussian and cos cubed eventlists with the original maps using developed techniques for looking at the flux along a line through the image and as a function of the radial distance from the pixel with the largest flux in the image
- Creating new maps that are combination's of the cosine cubed map and the gaussian map
- Presenting the first draft of the new website to the rest of the RHESSI group for review
